Scope
sonnen Holding GmbH is committed to making its digital offerings accessible to all. This applies in particular to the sonnen Group’s websites (www.sonnen.de, www.sonnen.at, www.sonnen.be, www.sonnen.it, www.sonnen.es, www.sonnen.nl, www.sonnen.pl, www.sonnen.se, www.sonnen.eg, www.sonnen.com.au, www.sonnenusa.com, www.sonnengroup.com, sonnen.pro). Also included are the other websites operated by the sonnen Group: www.energeticum.info, www.buschmann-energietechnik.de, solar-technik.elektro-franke.de, and www.meine-energieinsel.de. In addition, this includes related online services such as the rate calculator (tariffs.sonnen.de) and the storage calculator (rechner.sonnen.de), as well as the group’s mobile applications, in particular the sonnenApp.
Legal Basis and Standards
Our efforts are guided by the provisions of the Act to Strengthen Accessibility (BFSG) and the Ordinance on the Act to Strengthen Accessibility (BFSGV), which implement Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act). The technical standard is the harmonized standard EN 301 549, version V3.2.1, which incorporates the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance levels A and AA.
The new version, EN 301 549 V4.1.1, which is based on WCAG 2.2 (Levels A and AA), was published in September 2026. We are already preparing to adapt our digital offerings to these requirements.
Description of Our Services
Through our digital platforms, customers can access information about the sonnen Group’s products and services, submit inquiries, and sign contracts online.These include, among others:
• using the websites and thesonnenApp to access information on energy storage solutions, electricity rates,and services,
• using online services to manage customer accounts, change rates, and update contract information,
• using mobile applications to control and monitor energy storage systems and participate in the sonnenCommunity,
• the free download of materials such as product information, white papers, and brochures.
Measures Implemented
Our digital offerings are designed to be as accessible as possible. Navigation is clearly structured, forms are laid out in an understandable way, and operation via keyboard and screen reader is largely possible. We make contract documents, privacy notices, and terms and conditions available in an accessible format. After completing orders or registrations, you will receive a confirmation via email in an accessible format.
Status of Compliance with Requirements
The services offered by sonnen Holding GmbH largely meet the requirements of the BFSG, EN 301 549 V3.2.1, and WCAG 2.1 at conformance levels A and AA. The following areas are not yet fully accessible and are being adapted in stages:
• missing alternative text for some images in the order and service sections,
• insufficient color contrast on individual pages,
• limitations in keyboard and screen reader navigation in certain submenus and mobile applications,
• incomplete semantic markup informs,
• illogical focus order in mobile views,
• limited compatibility of certain dynamic content with screen readers.
The sonnenApp contains detailed data charts that support the analysis of various energy flows within the ecosystem. Although we have significantly improved the accessibility of these components, the complexity of graphical data visualizations can lead to accessibility limitations. As an alternative, the underlying numerical data can be exported.
We are continuously working to address these issues and are committed to continually improving the accessibility of our digital offerings.
Excluded Content
Accordingto the BFSG, the following content is exempt from the requirements:
• recorded time-based media (audio and video content) published before June 28, 2025,
• file formats from office applications (e.g., PDF files or presentations) published before June 28, 2025,
• third-party content that is neither funded nor developed by sonnen Holding GmbH and is not under its control,
• archived content that has not been updated or edited after June 28, 2025.
